If you morally objected to hunting animals for sport…?

…and a friend invited you on a hunting trip, would decline or accept? Would it be possible for you go as a silent observer who offers your friend best wishes in killing animals for sport? If you morally objected to hunting animals for sport…?
If i morally feel that hunting animals for sport was wrong, then no, i wouildnt go. If i felt it was wrong, then how can I sit by and watch them do this killing for sport without stopping it.If you morally objected to hunting animals for sport…?
I could not go to watch anyone kill animals for sport. The idea disgusts me.

I'd have to say, anyone who could find pleasure in slaughtering innocent animals just for the helluvit wouldn't be my friend for very long, anyhow.

Mind you, I am omnivorous, and I do enjoy a good meal with meat. I could see wishing the hunter good luck, if he were hunting for food.

However, we have too many ';hunters'; who wish to hunt tame animals, and then mount the head, leaving the rest of the carcass to rot, as if this were some sort of testimony to their manhood.
Allah swt / God put us at the top of His creations=

17:70:

Verily we have honoured the children of Adam. We carry them on the land and the sea, and have made provision of good things for them, and have preferred them above many of those whom We created with a marked preferment. (70)

animals were subjected to us:

22:36

And the camels! We have appointed them among the ceremonies of Allah. Therein ye have much good. So mention the name of Allah over them when they are drawn up in lines. Then when their flanks fall (dead), eat thereof and feed the beggar and the suppliant. Thus have We made them subject unto you, that haply ye may give thanks. (36)

that require us to be merciful in this task, including very sharp knife that used for food supply.

as for sport hunting or dog fighting= that is a no no.
i think hunting as a sport is only wrong if you don't intend to use the animal as more than a trophy, use the hide, use the meat, then if you want to mount your antlers or even the whole head go for it. i would observe and even join in with someone who was doing it correctly, otherwise i would be uncomfortable with it
Some people's sensibilities are offended by hunting. I understand this, but mine aren't. As long as the hunter is responsible, legal, and the animal is taken for food, there is nothing objectionable about reasonable hunting to me at all.

I like the classic line by Yogi Bear ';Hunting season?!';
I would not have a friend who engages in killing for amusement.

Addendum: If someone is going to be hunting for food. and they kill in a way to minimize suffering, I don't necessarily have a problem with that.

But I would still not personally attend.
I have never gone hunting and have declined, but not because of moral considerations. Hunting has never interested me and I have no problem if others hunt. I have had Caribou and other game animals on my dinner table which I have prepared.
that's nice that you would go to please your Friend but hun you would really hate it if he shot one because you have to field dress it meaning you cut open the gut and remove all organs on the spot or the meat spoils lots of gorier stuff i suggest taken a rain check
I would decline. Fit anything in there,...I find abortion morally objectionable. Would it be possible for you to go as a silent observer and lend your support?

Besides, you would hate it, really.
Hunting is NOT a sport. Until all animals are armed, it cannot be considered a sport.

I would never be a witness to such cruelty.

Hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday! Merry Christmas!
If you don't stand up for your morals, you'll fall for anything.

Ask yourself if you would be asking yourself this question if he was a 50 red neck with a bear belly, instead of some one you are attracted to.
I would probably try to direct him to arcade hunting games, because I don't condone murder of any kind.

But I am friends with nobody who will hunt for sport, so I can't really give an honest answer.
I wouldn't go. If the stores ever run out of food then hunting for food would be justified, otherwise I am against it.
I would politely decline.
Decline...
I would decline, but a true friend would know my views beforehand and likely wouldn't ask me in the first place.
idk this is relig here.

Edit: (nobody's getting the fireball reference????)
I would have to say no thank you but save me some meat.
No objections here. We have hunted and lived on wild game for many generations. I would go.
I have declined.
I don't like it and no, I wouldn't go. I would not wish them luck either. It's bad enough that we even eat meat.
IJR would decline.
Would not go
i'll go if i get to eat the kill
