There are deer but not much deer hunting. Come to wisconsin, half as many deer as people lol. and everyone hunts, its great.Help is there hunting deer in california?
Yes there are both deer all over California and a season for hunting them.

More specifically there are Blacktail deer and Mule deer.

The only places you can't hunt deer are within city limits or designated federal or state game preserves.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that deer only inhabit parks and mountains. They don't exactly carry maps and compasses to make sure that's where they are. I've seen news footage of deer walking through LA. Deer will live anywhere that there is food for them including city parks, suburban neighborhoods and backyards.

Maybe your boyfriend needs to drive you out of the city so you will really know what's out there.
Neither one of you are correct.

There are deer in Cali. But, in general they are neither roaming around urban sprawls or confined solely to parks.

They are there, and in abundance. But like all wild animals they find safety and comfort away from people.
There is deer hunting all over CA, some places are better than other places. You can hunt deer on private, BLM and Forest serrvice land, as long as you have a deer tag for that area
reality is i live in nor cal and the only deer around are way out in national forest land or scronny ones on private property. either get to know someone who has acres in the foothills or go to oregon, colorado, or idaho
