What is the best tree stand to use for hunting?

im looking to get a tree stand for hunting i bow hunt

(like a climber,ladder,ect......What is the best tree stand to use for hunting?
The best climber and the best selling climbing stand on the market is the Summit Viper tree stand. The climbing stands are more portable and versatile to use for your bow hunting needs. What is the best tree stand to use for hunting?
lonewolf

the best for bow hunting

its one piece cast aluminum, and stays silent.

this is off the website: Take a close look at the Lone Wolf platform. Listen. Hear anything? In print or in person, it sounds the same. Dead quiet.

Lone Wolf's unique patented cast aluminum platform provides a sturdy, silent base just not possible with sound echoing hollow-tube or grate-popping expanded metal models. Annoying creaks and other unwanted noises associated with excess joints, bolts and rivets are also absent. A minimum of moving parts, safe, easy-climbing and non-slip footing complete the quality construction spearheaded by demanding design engineers.
If possible you can make an affordable tree stand on your own. Create a ladder by nailing 2x4's to a tree that has many branches (be sure to use four nails for each board to make it sturdy). Then create a seat by attaching 2 or 3 more sturdy boards between two large sturdy branches close to the center of the tree. This isn't recommended if you don't build things often.
Ok here's the low down:

I would highly recomend not using the pegs that you screw into the side of the tree. They are simple to put in but when climbing them in the dead of winter with ice frozen on them and 20 lbs of wieght on your back, climbing them can be an adventure. I do like the ladder stands. They are stable and you can keep them up for years. And then there is the climbing stick, it has one central pole with pegs sticking out either side. Thes are good but over the years, they can get quite wobbly. I say your best bet is a ladder stand. You can buy one for less than $100. I would highly rocomend a large seat vs. the seats where you can only get half a cheek on them. Also I highly recomend arm rests. If the sooothing noises of nature put you to sleep they will help you stay in the stand. ALWAYS USE A HARNESS. Another thing, don't buy a stand that is more than 20 feet high. The stand that I hunt in is 16 feet tall and in the past 4 years I have shot 5 deer. And in reality if you can stay still, you really don't need a stand. Also if you are just going to be gun hunting in it then i would recomend a shooting rail. Not only can you use it for resting your gun while shooting, you can buy some orange fabric spray paint it with some browns, whites, rig it in front of you and wala you have a simple blind. Just remember that %50 of it has to be orange.

Hunter's tip:

Use scent covering spray. All year I keep all my orange and camo in a rubbermade container. I spray each with scent killer, let them dry for a few hours and throw them in the bin. You wouldn't believe how much it helps.

And to the PETA person who posted stuff in this column. This is a hunting column. We post hunting stuff. I wouldn't go into your PETA

column and say ';PETA = People Eating Tastey Animals';. I just wouldn't do that. We have different views on hunting. We are not going to change each other's views. So please, stay out of the hunting culumn. Thank you.

P.S. Would you rather have no hunting of whitetail? Think of this. The deer would spend 4 long months starving to death because all of their food source is gone. Or would you rather have the deer die a quick death (most of the time less than 1 minute). I know that we always try to donate an animal to the Amish. They need to hunt and kill to survive. Or we give an animal to a food pantry.

Another note: Hunter's contribute more money to conservation than any other group in the USA. We love being in the outdoors. I could go out hunting for 12 hours and not see a thing and though I would be disapointed that I didn't see anything, i would still be satisfied watching the squirrels wage WWIII, and the turkeys making a rukus because one of them found a berry bush.
how about you plant a tree...let it grow and admire the animals that come to live in it or feed off of it instead of killing innocent creatures

or shall i climb a tree and stick you with an arrow?

then ill take you home, skin you, and put you into my soup.

but before you die, ill make sure you suffer AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
It truely depends on what you're hunting, what you're hunting with, and the timber/brush in the area. Talk to people who hunt in the area for similar game.
I dont like heights so for me it would be a tree stand that sits about 16 inches off the ground.
Ladder maybe?
ive heard that Summit Tree Stands are good.
i dont know but i used to know someone who i thought was honest that did,
