IT-Job Hunting in Europe, where do I go and what do I do?

Hi

Im a south-african male aged 32, and am in the IT profession. I am set on moving to europe (no specific country yet) and thus need a solid job.

As already stated i am an IT specialist. Where do i go from here? Are there websites to help? What would be the best course of action?

It will not be easy.

First of all you will need a working visa. To get that a company has to satisfy the issuing authorities that there are no suitable candidates for the job.

Second, they then have to show that there are no suitable applicants from other EU countries.

Considering the global recession and the high levels of unemployment in Europe at the moment, neither of the above would be feasible.

Also a there would be a lot of unnecessary bureaucracy and cost involved for any prospective employer taking into account the amount of people qualified and suitable within the EU, for the position.IT-Job Hunting in Europe, where do I go and what do I do?
In the UK, Reading in Berkshire is the centre of the IT industry.

I would get your CV around and possibly think about moving. Employers are often hesitant to offer work if you're not in the country.
