To all people how go deer hunting?

Here where i live in Wisconsin,deer season for bow hunting open at the end of Oct.And gun season is the week of thanksgiving.





The question to you is this,when someone ask you were are you going you say i am going bow hunting,and then when gun season open up you say i am going deer hunting.Why is that?To all people how go deer hunting?
It is probably expressions which have been passed down for generations.To all people how go deer hunting?
