What is the best rifle for coyote and deer hunting?

i have been looking for the best rifle for coyote hunting but can also be used as a deer rifle. thanks to anyone who answersWhat is the best rifle for coyote and deer hunting?
IMO a 30-06 or .270 is going to be your best bet for deer and yotes. I shoot a Remington 700 .270 with a Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15X40 which is a perfect deer and yote setup for me.What is the best rifle for coyote and deer hunting?
I'd go for .243 Winchester caliber, essentially a smaller bullet in a ';necked down'; .308 shell casing. Shoots flatter. Less drop at a distance, makes scope adjustments easier. If you had more experience, I'd say .308 Winchester. If you want more power, the .270 Winchester Short Magnum is one sick round, very high velocity. More power than the .308 Winchester. I have tried it, but don't own it (yet) I have owned .308's and presently a .243. I like compact, short action rifles. If you didn't want a deer rifle, I'd also suggest .22-250 Remington, another high velocity round.
A .308 will be good for both game. .308s are a very popular round for deer. As long as you can properly place a shot, you won't have to worry about the deer getting away. .308s pack a lot of power. They can be used to hunt boar, elk, black bear and moose at close range.

Coyotes only need a .223 to be taken down. But since you can't eat the meat, overkill isn't an issue, unless you're saving the pelts. If you're not, a .308 will work wonderfully. It's basically a guaranteed kill- assuming you know where to shoot.
If your budget can stand around $1200, the Kimber 84 in 257 Roberts would be close to ideal for what you're looking for. Great varmint caliber that'll do for deer, and better than the smaller bores. The only company I can think of that chambers the quarter Bob routinely is Ruger, if you're on a more restricted budget.

Having been down that route and compared them over the past few decades, I've decided that if people really paid attention to this cartridge, there wouldn't be more than a few dozen 243's/6mm's sold in any given year. The old boy just has that little bit extra, and it's very friendly to handloaders.
Any rifle chambered in the .243 win. would do just great. you can buy 55 grain bullets for coyotes and 100 grain for deer. and the small hole it makes, makes it perfect for varmints to save the pelts. remington m700

is a great rifle. or if you live in the states and prefer the semi auto, panther arms or any ar style rifles are fast enough for varmints and rugged enough for deer. but the .243 is a great cartridge for both deer and coyotes
My first centerfire rifle was a Remington Model 7400 .243, my dad bought it for my 12th birthday. I killed my first deer with it. This rifle is unbelievably accurate for an autoloader, it likes the Federal Premium 85gr. Barnes TSX. It has served me very well in the field for 28 years. It now belongs to my 9 year old son, he shoots it with with extreme confidence, he killed his first deer this past season. The point is the .243 Win. in an awesome caliber, you do not need anything more for ANY deer, black bear, antelope or coyotes. I believe in it so much that I bought myself another .243 Win, a Remington Model 700 VLS. Spend some time behind it and it will not let you down. When the moment of truth arrives, with a well placed shot, your deer will drop as though lightning hit him. .243 Win is an amazing round. Light recoil and tremendous energy at long ranges. I once argued with my uncle about how much better the .30's were, but did not realize until later how ignorant and arrogant I was. But, I was young and did not know any better. You should know that Hornady makes a Light Magnum 100gr round that will take deer with the minimum 1000 ft lbs of energy at over 400 yards, close to 450. Let us all take a realistic account, not many will take shots over 300. The .243 can do it, if you can do your part. I say you will kill more deer at greater ranges because it shoots way flatter, it is a more inherently accurate round and more importantly has plenty of energy. The .243 load above is 6.4 inches low at 300, with a 200 zero. Yes, the .243 Win does a fine job on varmints, but that only speaks of its overall flexibility and capability. Bigger holes do not always mean a dead deer. I have seen more deer carry a .30-06 than any other caliber, because everyone has one. And not everyone who has one can shoot it well enough to do the job.
Definitely the .243 caliber. It is considered the ';triple threat'; (small game, big game, and competition) of rifle rounds. Just adjust for what you are going to use for by picking the appropriate bullet weight.
A rifle chambered in .270 or .308 would be fine......

The .270 shoots a little flatter but the .308 can be had in bulk cheaper if you plan on target shooting a bit.....

Consider a Remington 700 SPS......

Best rifle or best caliber? I'd go with a Remington 700 BDL chambered in .270, excellent ballistics for long range shooting without the recoil of a magnum. Great for deer hunting. You can kill coyotes with just about anything.
Marlin XL7 .270 with Bushnel 3x9-50 scope.
.243,264,270 or great choices. A 30-06 is too if you find those 55gr accelerator bullets or just use regular bullets,,but, 30-06 is overkill for yotes.
308 will be your best choice but good optics will be needed to the coyote is smaller than the deer and will be more weary than the deer so a longer shot may need to be taken.
30-06 you can get 55 gr accelerator for coyotes and 150 gr for deer.
my truck has taken more deer and coyotes than any rifle i have
either the .243 or the 25-06 are great for both animales.
For both a 30-06 is your best choice.
