Cottontail distress, Jackrabbit distress, wounded woodpecker, coyote pups... All are good methods however you'll have the best luck when using an electronic call. www.gofoxpro.com

If using mouth calls: Call for 30 minutes call in two minute sequences starting with quiet calling to attract any close ones and work it up to a loud distress. With electronic calls like the one I linked you'll just use the remote controller about 50 yards from where you sit and click play.
distress calls work best this time of year. set up somewhere you have a good view because when using distress call 95 percent of time they will try to get down wind of you to check things out. use howler in the springtime now it will spook them more often than not
I had great luck using a wounded cotton tail rabbit call. I use a Primos brand call. I usualy call for 2 min. and wait 3 min. till I start calling agian. After about 15-20 minutes, I move on to a new spot. Just make sure you spot them before they spot you. Remember, you're hunting a hunter.

I'm hunting for a new job. How will my chances be affected by saying I'm going travelling for 3months next Sep?

btw. I already have a job. I just don't like it. Do I stick to it and resign before traveling or go for the upfront approach with potential new employers? I work in the Travel industry at what would be described as middle management level...I'm hunting for a new job. How will my chances be affected by saying I'm going travelling for 3months next Sep?
Either look for a long term temp position, or stick it out at your current company. No new company is going to be thrilled to hear that you'll be leaving just as you've reached a point of competency in training. Also, no company is under any obligation to hold a job open for you when you return from your travels. You'll just be starting your job search over again when you return from your trip.

IT-Job Hunting in Europe, where do I go and what do I do?

    Hi

Im a south-african male aged 32, and am in the IT profession. I am set on moving to europe (no specific country yet) and thus need a solid job.

As already stated i am an IT specialist. Where do i go from here? Are there websites to help? What would be the best course of action?

ThanksIT-Job Hunting in Europe, where do I go and what do I do?
    It will not be easy.

First of all you will need a working visa. To get that a company has to satisfy the issuing authorities that there are no suitable candidates for the job.

Second, they then have to show that there are no suitable applicants from other EU countries.

Considering the global recession and the high levels of unemployment in Europe at the moment, neither of the above would be feasible.

Also a there would be a lot of unnecessary bureaucracy and cost involved for any prospective employer taking into account the amount of people qualified and suitable within the EU, for the position.IT-Job Hunting in Europe, where do I go and what do I do?
In the UK, Reading in Berkshire is the centre of the IT industry.

I would get your CV around and possibly think about moving. Employers are often hesitant to offer work if you're not in the country.

Im looking for a good hunting knife?

I need a good knife. I am going to use it for hunting and gutting out a deer. I just need an all around good hunting knife. Any good ones out there?Im looking for a good hunting knife?
Well, without spending thousands or several hundred....Gerber in the size you want. Kershaw also for a decent price.Im looking for a good hunting knife?
Buck ';zipper'; or ';vanguard';. Cheap, durable, and a great blade shape/angle/size for such work.

If you ';The'; knife, then you will just have to go to a store and put it in your hand to see which you like.

P.S. A good knife needs a good sheath. the walmart knives are good, but their sheaths are cheap nylon to reduce the cost. An extra $15 isn't bad for a much more usable leather sheath.
I like the Gerber. Works good, holds a good edge, is easily sharpened, price is cheap enough and has a gut hook that really helps out.The only down side is it doesn't rip very well but it is an excellent skinning knife.
you can find a good hunting knife just about any where. A good brand is buck knives. but you dont have to get a brand name knife for it to be good.
Buck knives are very well made and keep a good edge . They come in all shapes and sizes . For deer hunting I would get a knife with about a 4'; blade.
look at the Gerber, leatherman and Kershaw knifes.
just get a nice case knife (folding,2 blades) keeps a good edge
    Gerber is a good brand
